We had promised ourselves we must visit Switzerland to see where Valais Blacknose sheep originate from. See the landscape and terrain and identify what they forage on in the hope we can replicate it at home and to take any 'pointers' from Swiss farmers.
Well, we managed to achieve the lot. We spent time with fellow Valais owners who shared their knowledge aswell as answering our many questions. We have taken away lots of value we intend replicating with our sheep thanks to new friends. Switzerland is a wonderful place to visit, not just for the sheep but the beauty of it.. the lakes, the mountains.. train to Matterhorn. A great one for your bucket list. We will be back.
